DETAILED FLIGHT GUIDE
A step-by-step handbook to ensure your flight is safe, smooth, and confident with Anh Sao Mai.
STEP 1
RECEIVE & VERIFY YOUR TICKET
After receiving your electronic or paper ticket from Anh Sao Mai, please verify the following details carefully:
Passenger full name
Date and time of flight
Flight itinerary
Operating Airline
Check-in baggage allowance
If you detect any discrepancies, contact Anh Sao Mai immediately for timely correction before departure.
STEP 2
PREPARE PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION
Please prepare valid original identification depending on the age of the passenger:

Infants under 2 years old:
Original Birth Certificate or a certified copy with a red seal issued by competent state authorities.

Children from 2 to under 14 years old:
Original Birth Certificate or a certified copy with a red seal issued by competent state authorities.

Passengers from 14 years old and above:
Original National ID Card (CCCD) or Passport still within its validity period.
Special Warnings:
- Driver's licenses are NO LONGER accepted for airport check-in.
- DO NOT use photocopies of Birth Certificates (even notarized copies).
- DO NOT use photos of Birth Certificates displayed on phones.
- Prepare your travel documents early to avoid unexpected issues at the airport.
STEP 3
ONLINE CHECK-IN (IF ELIGIBLE)
- Most airlines support online check-in **within 24 hours prior to departure**.
- After checking in successfully, you will receive an electronic boarding pass (with a QR code).
- **If you have check-in baggage:** You still need to proceed to the airline counter at the airport to drop off your bags.
- Passengers travelling with infants under 2 years old usually cannot check-in online and must check-in at the counter.
STEP 4
ARRIVE AT THE AIRPORT ON TIME
You should arrive at the airport before departure time at least:
Domestic Flights
At least 2 hours early
International Flights
At least 3 hours early
STEP 5
COUNTER CHECK-IN AT AIRPORT
- Present your ticket and valid personal identification documents.
- Drop off your check-in baggage (if you have any).
- Receive your physical Boarding Pass if you have not checked in online.
⚠️ Note: Check-in counters usually **close 40–50 minutes before the scheduled departure time**. Late passengers will be denied boarding.
💡 Tip: If you have checked in online and have no check-in baggage, you can skip this step and go straight to the security checkpoint.
STEP 6
SECURITY CHECKPOINT
- Place your phone, wallet, keys, watch, and any metallic personal items in the trays to go through the scanner.
- Strictly avoid carrying prohibited or restricted items as per global aviation safety regulations.
STEP 7
PROCEED TO THE DEPARTURE GATE
- Verify the departure Gate number printed on your boarding pass to walk to the waiting area.
- Monitor the flight information screens in the lounge continuously for any sudden schedule changes or gate updates.
- Ensure you are present at the gate at the boarding time specified on your pass.
STEP 8
BOARDING
- Have your Boarding Pass and original identification ready while queueing to board.
- Locate your seat row and letter specified on your boarding pass.
- Stow your carry-on luggage securely in the overhead compartment or under the seat in front of you.
